Box 40 Currituck, NC 27929 The eight schools in the Currituck county School System are now serving nearly 4,100 students in Pre-K through 12th grade. While North Carolina's accountability program focuses on Reading and Math proficiency, the staff is committed to providing students with a balanced curriculum with a variety of instructional opportunities in the Arts. The Currituck County School System is proud of the continued success of their students demonstrating outstanding student achievement on state mandated End of Grade and End of Course tests. Official 2005 ABC results indicate that 92.5% and 93.6% of grade 3-8 students are at or above grade level in the areas of reading and math respectively. All five elementary schools and both middle schools earned more that 90% overall proficency on EOG's and the high school earned 85% proficiency on EOC tests. "We will continue to set even higher goals in our efforts to strive for excellence in education.
